I have been building a WWII collection, and since I could not afford a $30,000 original MP-40, I bought this one. I was surprised with the accuracy of this pistol. It will hit where you aim it. It is also a lot of fun. You think 25 rounds for a magazine is a lot, until you start shooting. They go fast. Be sure and pick up an extra magazine. It also comes with a magazine loader tool that you definitely need to load the magazines. It looks very real, has plastic where the original bake-a-lite was, and functions pretty much like the original only this one uses the closed bolt system. It is really just a lot of fun to shoot.

The ATF doesn’t allow open bolt semi-autos because they say it’s so easy to convert to full auto. This is exactly why you don’t want the ATF to be allowed to make these “determinations” and “rulings”. Basically you can be charged with violating the NFA for having an open bolt semi-auto.
