JOHN PON –
For beginners, an AXIS rifle chambered in . 243 Win. is ideal, as that caliber offers enough power to take deer-sized game but avoids much of the recoil associated with larger calibers.

Well I’m glad they took one of the many consideration to make the rifle better, but I’m still waiting on better iron sights, spring loaded ejector/extractor, threaded shotgun barrel for chokes, and easy to access storage compartment in the buttstock. Oh, and just better build quality in general because the method they used on the original 42 to fix the recoil pad on the stock was just atrocious.
