The Winchester Model 1873 rifle is a lever-action repeating rifle that became one of the most famous and popular hunting rifles. It was designed by John Browning in 1873 and originally chambered to fire two metallic black powder cartridges, the .32-40 Winchester and .38-55 Winchester. It was the first rifle to chamber the smokeless powder round, the .30 WCF (Winchester Center Fire, in time becoming known as the .30-30).

A hole is a hole, and if it’s going too fast the bullet might not hold up. Sometimes too a little more time inside the target helps with expansion and destruction. It’s nice to know that a 30-30 will penetrate the skull of a grizzly, I’m not so sure about .

I really wonder why winchester usa never did reproduction of the 73 they just give up and moved to Japan , pike smith and wesson is doing now whit the classics ,colt should bring back the phyton and the detective 38 revolvers ,Us gun lovers. Will support our American gun companies Just listen to our needs do what the motorcycle companies did go out and make what we want to buy before moving the company overseas.
